Kadosu OKCO’s Art

My main Art Series

Here is where I, the dashingly procrastinating, Kadosu OKCO, keep track of the progress of all the art ideas. My hope is that this list can help with solidifying steps toward the completion of my artwork. Upon completion, each artwork will have a link to its completed form. Art Ideas

Casta

A figure drawing series that explores sexuality, historical racial diversity and bigotry that existed in Latin America in an ironic form of homage of the infamous ‘Casta’ system.

Heathland Brains

A parody series of Kingdom Hearts. The concept centers on a planned fictional spin-off game that fell through, but the concept art was still around. The focus would be on the forgotten Disney works, from the subpar sequels, to Disney channel movies, and even other Disney video games. There would also be more emphasis on the Final Fantasy franchise as well.

Art Ideas with some installments

Knock knock

Imagine you’re just going about your day when suddenly you hear a knocking, and then you’re like ‘WTF?’. Just a fun little series, part deadpan humor, part surrealist, with a sprinkle of creepiness. The Series is ongoing. The Gallery can be found on my Deviant Art Page.

Jim Crow’s Retort

A parody series meant to bring attention to racist anti-African propaganda for the purpose of highlighting, in particular, the hypocrisy in the stereotypes that had long been attributed to the African societies amongst the western nations and North America, the overall goal is pointing out what ever stereotype, negative and/or positive, attributed the African people, but for some reason not to other people, in particular [but not limited to] the Caucasian/European peoples. The Series is ongoing. The Gallery can be found on my Deviant Art Page.

L-Taku’s Avatars

Putting a face to go with the pen names I came up with. Won’t be long until they take a life of their own.

Completed Professional Work

Buildtronic/Smarts Toy Portfolio

Under an internship, I provided digital illustrations and story editing for a company pioneering an updated form of S.T.E.M. education (science, technology, engineering, and math) that also utilizes art, speech, reasoning, and critical thinking. The company at the time was called ‘Buildtronic.’ Their established mascot is a hero named SMARTS (an acronym for science, math, art, reasoning, technology, and Speech) and they needed illustrations for their hero’s origin storybook and website logo. This was my first real foray into digital drawing and designing on a professional. The company and website where you can access the origin story book is now called ‘Starts Toy

neuroFIT Portfolio

Through an exchange, I provided a series of black-and-white mixed media illustrations for a start-up tech company that centered on brain health called neruoFit. This was a more verbal contract relationship, but it was an enjoyable one as I got to use my favorite medium: ink, pen and brush. The official comic is free to view

‘Hey, It Could Happen!’ Portfolio

An aspiring writer and poet friend of mine told me that he had written three children’s stories a long time ago and only had one of the stories, illustrated. He still needed someone to illustrate the other two ‘ stories.   This was the first of two stories, “Nathan’s Shocking Day,” in which I specifically used colored pencils and filled the pages with as much detail as necessary. In the second of the two stories, Tish’s Toenails, I used ink, pen, and bush, utilizing limited colors in a minimalist-ish style. Both stories have been published twice, the first time independently as standalone books, then again through a Christian publishing company as a part of a children’s anthology called ‘Hey, It Could Happen!
